In general, when it comes to photography, the proof is in the pudding. Pictures speak for themselves.

Weddings, however, are a different story. I feel it is so important to have someone around, on your wedding day, who is passionate about what they do but doesn’t try to turn the event into an exhausting photo shoot – someone who is as unobtrusive and respectful as they are capable of manoeuvering massive groups of great-aunts and energetic children into some form of order.

I love people. I love people who love each other. And i love people who dress up. So a wedding is pretty much a field day for me and my camera!

My style could be described as tasteful, stylish and calm.  My training and background in social-documentary and photojournalism means I have developed a keen eye for special moments. I also have a bit of a magpie/collector streak in me and this means that I am constantly seeking out the little details between the grander moments. A streak of light through the church window, a bridesmaid relishing her fairytale dress, a secret look between lovers, about to commit to spending the rest of their lives together…. I also feel it’s important to approach each wedding with a fresh pair of eyes, and capture what is unique and beautiful about yours.

I am based in Cape Town, South Africa, but am available to shoot countrywide.
